Well here it is my first felted bag. What a learning experience and my thanks to Gail White at the White House Yarn and Fiber store in Ontario who walked me through the process and got excited along with me when it was finished. I LOVE this bag. The only thing I think I would change is that I would have made the straps longer so I could wear diagonal. No biggy though, worse case scenario I'll make new straps and felt them separately. In any case I'm very pleased with how it turned out and I learned how to fix the few mistakes I made. I didn't start on my fingerless gloves tonight because I don't have the right needles, but that will be a project for next time. And of course I have included a photo that I took in the woods which was the inspiration for my mossy bag. BTW I have a whole other skein of this same yarn so I can make another one that will fit me more if I like, and give this one away. Well that's all I got right now, I'm making progress just not at the rate I once was but such is life back in the working world. Something has to fund all my endeavors! :)

Well I finally have some photos to post of the gift I made for my sister for her birthday. The above shows the Orchid Pendant that later became a necklace after it was sprayed and painted. I took the photo before I did all that to avoid most of the glare. The second is a goofy little frog card that I made her out of contact paper to go along with her necklace. I really love doing gourd jewelry and I need to remember that it doesn't take me very long to do (1 hr start to finish if I don't take a break) so even when I feel like I don't have time to do very much I can still make jewelry to put on my website. I have been talking with my brother and we are trying to narrow down an afternoon that we can spend on the phone in order to get this website going. We both haven't had a lot of time but I'm ready to make it a reality. I'll keep you all posted with our progress. In the mean time I struggle to maintain order in my life and find a little peace as well. My main focus is a coyote manuscript that I have to get published very soon from my masters research. Therefore I find it difficult to justify playing with crafts when that's looming overhead. In any case here is a little piece of art to satisfy my diligent readers. I plan on posting some more of my near done projects in the weeks to come.
Be patient with me and keep crafting!
